Today the Carpe Diem tarot series continue with the Emperor. And naturally I avoid the Tarot, and relate back to Hans-Christian Andersen’s story the Emperor’s new clothes. If you are not familiar with the story, you can find the full text here
swindlers use
fear of appearing stupid
vain emperor
vain emperor
only a child dare to say
he has no clothes
he has no clothes
emperor is ridiculed

One of my favorite tales. Nice use of the story for the Emperor haiku.
A story that has a lot of good things to tell us.
Nice poem relating to an old story. One of my favorites as a child.
Thank you 🙂 useful lesson too.
I loved that story as a child too. It did have so many messages for us all.
The Emperor
It is a great story..
I love this take on the prompt!! You are the master of research, Bjorn! 🙂
Thank you 🙂
My mind never went there. Wish it had. Love your cascade. Pirate was the first I saw on this prompt and did Emperor with No Clothes. Slapped self on forehead.
Ha, need to check the others. It came after a while.
I like this series of haiku on The Emperor. That link with the fairy-tale is just awesome. The Tarot isn’t really your cup of tea.
The words a great, and I learn about the tarot while reading others. But I also like the alternate twist.
Glad you did it
that was the first thing I thought when I heard emperor
Wow … this transported me to my school days when I had read that tale … thanks for the memories 🙂
