Carpe Diem prompt today is early bloom. Right here in Sweden the only bloom would be ice flowers. But why not bring up the plum flower we had as kigo in December. I found this wonderful woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige of the Plum orchard at Kamata.

Oh yes! the third one brings such sweet memories of springs past! Your woodcut is delightful, as always!
Love, love, love all three. The middle one caught me the most. Blossoms like snow.

Lovely set, the last is my favorite
I love the first one … imagining the set up to the young lovers – opening her coat to allow him to slip his hands in…
What is that geisha doing??? 🙂
