I have been away travelling for a few weeks and now finally I am back writing in Friday Fictioners. Every week people from around the globe try to write a 100 word story on the same picture. This week the picture is of two cellos exposed caught in delicto flagrante. If your want more info or join go to Rochelle’s page and read more.
Finally they were together, no prying violins, not even the contrabass could see them. He was an old Stradivarius, she a simple Japanese lady from a Suzuki school.
“Come on baby, now we can resonate, I’m perfectly tuned to you”
He said in golden timbre.
“But my little violins might hear us, is this really proper conduct?”
“With the racket they are tuning into now, there is no risk. Oh baby, just a little duet, no strings attached”
“Just play me carefully, no minor’s allowed”
“Trust me”
They were caught by the conductor and exposed to the whole orchestra.

How embarrassing 8^}
Especially for her.. All her little violins see her
Good fun! Welcome back!
Thank you
Very clever indeed, I hope your travels were good.
Indeed, sun and laziness
Hi Bjorn,
Do they use the rhythm method? Ha! Fun story with tons word play. Hits just the right note. Ron
🙂 I’m glad you liked it
Perfect. I shall avoid all cute musical references and just leave it at that.
janet
🙂 it was a picture that invited musical puns
It really was and take note: we all responded in the right key, with a few minor but no major, differences. 🙂
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Bjorn, you NAILED IT! This is good! Great puns and music majors such as myself appreciate them. Great job!
I’m glad I hit the note on this
Hehe.. And they stand all pale and flushed.. Poor souls!
The must have looked like dum-basses 🙂
oh! hahaha ^^ loved this
🙂 I’m glad
oh too funny. loved this one! You made a great comeback!
Thank you.
Well done! I had to laugh out loud. Tsk Tsk, nothing like being caught in the act.
Not too tactful 🙂
And not even a woodwind in sight.
He He He….did some one say woodwind? LOL!
😀
Funny story and welcome back. It is good to see your fine writing once again.
Tom
Thank you.
Great play on words – loved it.
Thank you 🙂
Dear Björn,
A rather tawdry little tale. See what happens when two cellos are left in a closet. Cute. And welcome back!
Shalom,
Rochelle
They go in as cellos and come out as basses. By the could it be that a double bass is a pregnant cello?
There’s no shame in making beautiful music together. I’d like to have seen the look on the conductor’s face though. 🙂
Not to tactful conductor
What a shame! I guess the two of them will just have to go back to being played by hand. Funny piece …
Indeed. And no solos in a while
exposed to the whole orchestra… I love it!
The poor cellos didn’t
LOLLL!!! Very funny!
Glad you liked it
Hysterical! I loved so much about this, especially the thought that her “little violins” might overhear them!
Those devious little rascals. It’s not easy to be a cello mother.
Brilliant, especially about the concern over improper conduct 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Like how abrupt the final sentence is after the romantic start
Not “happy end”
Oh my….
Those cello’s can not be trusted
That’s good to know!
Hmm. Just wondering , just where was his plastic cover? Gotta practice safe sax, or there’ll surely be violins! 😉
We’ll never know. They are condemned to play double bass from now on.
Covering both Bass’s, hey? Good idea. *giggles*
Oh, I loved it. It’s so perfect. 😀
Oh. thank you mari 🙂
Welcome back! I was wondering where you went. This is perfect! All your words connected to the instruments and music were quite clever.
Just had a couple of weeks on the road without connections. Now back to normal..
A cute little story there…:)
Thank you 🙂
Ha, clever wordplay, Bjorn. Who knew cellos had such passion! 😉
Cello’s are very sexy. 🙂
Just now getting around to reading the other stories. In a minimum of words: This is a masterpiece.
Thank you 🙂
hahahaha, loved the ending.
Many thanks 🙂
Very sweet, I always wondered what the strings got up to whilst no one was looking.
strings easily gets unhinged when you are not looking 🙂
such fun reading this..and different too:)
Many thanks 🙂
HAHAHA! Of course the Stradivarius would be a player. 🙂
Of course 🙂
Dear Bjorn,
Loved the light tone and playful words of your story. Well done.
Aloha,
Doug
Thank you Doug ;–) or tack så mycket
Love! Huge smile on my face. What a great little story. Thanks! Now she’s just dying. LOL.
I wonder if cello’s ever blush?
Blast that conductor. Next thing you know they’ll be on the cover of some gossip rag–or even worse–all over the internet 🙂 Good story, Bjorn.
You’re perfectly right. I feel like a cheap paparazzi now 🙂
no minors allowed. well punned.
No punishment I hope 🙂
Puntastic – No andante here, allegro all the way!
Thank you 🙂
