The lunch break – Visual Dare 100 word story

This week’s Visual Dare entry. A prompt for writing a 100 words story. Pictures courtesy of the prompt. I found these pictures extremely hard to combine… But finally here is my little effort.

They had been teasing him all day. Hiding his paper clips was probably acceptable as pranks go, but when gluing his cup to the desk they crossed a border.

As he lamented his destiny at lunch, he heard to his amazement a raven speaking to him:

“I’ll trade your peanut butter sandwich for a wish”

Billy, actually happy to get rid of his stale lunch, said:

“I want my colleagues shrunk…. ”

“Done” said the raven and left with the food.

Billy could not believe his eyes when he saw them stealing his office supplies.

  1. Hats off, indeed. When I saw the prompt I caved and didn’t write anything. Didn’t even try. you made it look so easy.
