Today Carpe Diem prompt is this haiku by Issa
catching its breath
on the pine tree’s root…
plum blossom
I read Kristjaans nice weblog on this haiku. I see however a hidden love story in this one instead, so let’s go romantic on this one.
resting by the roots
pine trees giants in the sky
plum blossom skin
~~
plum blossom skin
her soft vermillion lips
whispering my name
~~
whispering my name
caress her plum blossom skin
pine trees standing guard
~~
pine trees standing guard
together catching our breat
resting by the roots

Love it. I love how haiku can be sensual and natural. Awesome.
What a romantic cascading haiku Bjorn. I can imagine this scenery so well, but I have to admit that I hadn’t thought a romantic take on this Special by Issa. You saw the romance in it … awesome!
Thank you for this amazing romance on Carpe Diem.
You made it sound so sensual … wow !!!
Words to imagination of “sugar plums” dancing. Sigh.
