Today Carpe Diem prompt is rain, suggest by myself. Of course it rained today, and a November rain is more dark poetry, so let’s start with some summer picture.
life giving water
fern and moss saturated
sunshine after rain

sunshine after rain
I cup my hand and drink
life giving water

As for November rain, this is how it looked today.

November depression

o! o absolutely love them! excellent Bjorn.
Thank you, and I’m so happy they do 😉
I am enthusiastic about these nice summer- and autumn-rain haiku. I was looking forward to your post for today … well you did great on your ‘own’ prompt. Nice composition. Here it was also a misty and rainy day … and I was longing for summer. Your summer rain haiku was very welcome … a little bit sun on a rainy autumn day 🙂
Thank you, the rain we had yesterday was really depressing. Rain in summer might make you wet, but it’s usually just life giving.
I like the black asphalt mirror… great take there on both the versions… certainly Summer and Winter rains are poles apart…
The autumn one I wanted to make a little more city like so to speak. Usually I huddle inside if it’s raining.
November and it wasn’t overcast here. The wind has been driving frayed little clouds across the sky. Shortly before arriving at work I had to stop to jot down: Not the chilling wind / It’s the light in autumnal trees / That makes me shiver. But we had rain the last days, so I could also look for some haiku to publish as Carpe diem haiku “rain”, which you had suggested. Thanks! What a prolific topic! And thanks for the “black asphalt mirror”.
Great words there Lothar
The black asphalt mirror really posed a nice image … wonderful haiku !!!
Thank you 🙂
absolutely wonderful. Bjorn….I too find these gloomy November days depressing….so dreary….and, yes, wet feet….
wet feet season is upon us all.
Wonderfully creative and enlightening haiku ~ love the ‘living waters’ ~ great photography ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^ on Blogger ^_^
Thank you, summer is easier to write on.
I love these lines:
“my feet are wet
shadow of the power lines
hot tea inside”

Powerful images with a reward…the hot tea inside.
Thank you,
