A lovely haiku, and the image as well. Like it.
Thank you 🙂
Nice twist at the end..
Thanks
I like this, especially the second line. Not sure I get the connection between the lips and the hay fever, other than the sneeze, though…
Lips is the pastoral, meadow gives hay fewer 🙂 Thanks for comment
I love the end- caught me off guard- made me smile- well done!
I am glad, that was the purpose 🙂
I like this. Glad I don’t get hay fever so I could enjoy this beautiful meadow as much as I want. Nicely done.
🙂
Hay fever! Priceless!
Thanks 🙂
Indeed brought a smile on my face.. 🙂

‘verdant meadow pastoral’ – love that line!
Thank you Hazel
The last line certainly caught me by surprise!
No Meadow
Very cool twist at the end.
Humor is possible also in haiku
Very true. Humour! I sometimes hide haiku in my prose, or explanations on my explanatory blog. Or elsewhere.
Many of the big haiku poets had lots of humour in their poetry. To have it as a a twist at the end I think is true to haiku intentions.
