I sit in contemplating shade
From singing birds a pleasant tune
In greens from verdigris to jade
Oh, beautiful the month of June
—
A paradise is always June
My trees like precious gems of jade
A cavern of the greenest shade
My garden singing summer tune
—
Inside I still have pleasant tune
But now there’s an eternal shade
And gone are happy days of June
I kept a gem, the sparking jade
—
The coldest stone, a piece of jade
A reminder of a garden June
Inside there’s still, a song, a tune
A light, in my december shade
—
So bring your June into the shade
Inside your jade, you keep the tune

Poem written by Björn Rudberg inspired by artwiculate wotd jade.
Idea was to use a rhymed 4 line tetrameter and mix it with sestina
rotation of end words.

As lovely and cool as jade!
Thank you.. jade is a very nice word to use.
Yes, very lovely! Best wishes, Ellen
Thank you Ellen.
Clever and a nice effect!
I’d forgotten about this type of form;
Cobwebs in my old brain.
Thank you.. might try it again sometime.
